Failure

Just as a warm light began covering Hailey, there was a loud sparking sound and all the lights went out.
"Ah, hell," Bob swore. "Hailey, you all right?"
Hailey looked herself over, and in the dim light provided by the emergency lighting system, found herself unchanged. "Well, other than disappointed, no injuries here. And no shrinkage. What happened?"
"One of the power channelers blew. But we should be ready in about five minutes. You still up for this?"
