I'm sure you've realized that though
These are the works that were written during, or after, my past relationships. Most of which are after effects of regret. A lot of it, I realize, is also written blindly due to the overly emotional state I was in. Emotion can be a great tool in writing. It can also completely ruin something that could have, potentially, been good.
I really truly am terrible at writing "In Love" songs, which is a shame, because I really do love a good love song. Something like "Said and Done", which I think is one of my better written on the topic, isn't about the good times. Maybe I write better depressed, who knows. Though, my favorite love song of all time would have to be...

"You've got your ball, you've got your chain
Tied to me tight, tie me up again
Who's got the claws in you my friend
Into your heart I'll beat again
Sweet like candy to my soul
Sweet you rock and sweet you roll
Lost for you, I'm so lost
For you

When you come Crash
Into me
And I come into you
In a boys dream

Touch our lips just so I know
In your eyes, love, it glows so
I'm bare boned and crazy
For you

When you come Crash
Into me, baby
And I come into you
In a boys dream

And if I've gone overboard
And I'm begging you to forgive me
In my haste, when I'm holding you so;
Close, to me

When you come Crash
Into me, baby
And I come into you
In a boys dream

Hike up your skirt a little more
And show your world to me
In a boys dream

I watch you there, through the window, and I stare
At you wear nothing, but you wear it so well
Tied up and twisted, the way I like to be
For you, for me, come crash into me baby
Come crash into me

Crash into me

I'm the king of the castle, you're the dirty rascal
Crash into me

I see the way, come and crash into me
I see the way, come and crash into me

Crash into me"

Can't even say how many times I've covered that song for one reason or another. If I ever hit the notion of "love" that hard on the head I'll be sure to fill you in. As it is, I've never even come close. The line, "Tied up and twisted, the way I like to be", defines it so well to me. A feeling to be missed surely. So weird that I like the "Dave Matthews Band" considering my other influences, but I do place him side by side with "The Beatles" often. It's always going to strike me as odd though. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica, and then Dave Matthews? It must be the guitar. *Pthb*
