He looked at her gently from across the table and sighed. Eryn looked at him confused but knowing something was on his mind, what was she finally going to learn The truth. The sudden business meetings the late-night calls two weird country codes, and why there’d been strange men in black suits. Lurking outside their house yes Eryn had seen the strange men accidentally of course. It had been on a cloudy Thursday she and Tom they’re two-year-old wer’e walking to the car. Eryn needed to run down the street to the Safeway to pick up a few things when. Out of the corner of her eye, she had seen a man in black sunglasses talking on a cell phone. At first, she thought nothing of it until she had seen an old lady. Or someone disguised as an old lady. Walk by and reach up into a tree grabbing at a leaf. Then pulling her arm away walking off, this also had not registered at first with Eryn. Probably just some random old lady she thought and had started to back her car up. Until she saw someone small it was a little person. It was strange to her not to be rood but usually, you didn’t see them much. But it was the behavior of the little person which alerted Eryn that something was going on. Because as she was backing up she realized that she had startled him, and because of that whatever was in his hand he suddenly made a throwing gesture. Then ran off. “ was he going to throw something on my car?” Eryn asked allowed. Then her mind flashbacked to an article she had seen online. About how people were using Apple AirTags to stock people, and now she was scared and had to restrain herself from stomping on the gas pedal. |
