Gary Richardson has made a scientific discovery so advanced that the rest of the scientific world sees it is magic or, more accurately, illusion. To get the news out, he is forced to bypass the scientific community and enter a television talent show. With no experience and a personality completely at odds with show business, it takes the help of a young theater intern, Cherie Chandler, to show him the ropes. But, in the end, is it really science?
