A Dad's Christmas Song
On the first day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
A perfect artificial tree.

On the second day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the third day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings, four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Seven packs of batteries, six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Eight missing pieces, seven packs of batteries, six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Nine toys unassembled, eight missing pieces, seven packs of batteries, six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the 10th day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Ten strings of lighting, nine toys unassembled, eight missing pieces, seven packs of batteries, six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.


On the eleventh day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Eleven brandied eggnogs, ten strings of lighting, nine toys unassembled, eight missing pieces, seven packs of batteries, six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my family gave to me:
Twelve guests arriving, eleven brandied eggnogs, ten strings of lighting, nine toys unassembled, eight missing pieces, seven packs of batteries, six lists of wishes, five ding-a-lings . . . ! Four Christmas plays, three neck ties, two paper stars, and a perfect artificial tree.
