The cashew tree is native to Brazil, where its fruit is considered a delicacy. In the 16th century, the Portuguese introduced them to India and some African countries, where they are now also grown. What we call the cashew nut is actually the seed of this fruit. Cashews are rich in iron, phosphorus, selenium, magnesium and zinc. They are also good sources of phytochemicals, antioxidants, and protein.

Here are seven health benefits of cashews.

1. Cancer Prevention
Cashews are ripe with proanthocyanidins, a class of flavanols that actually starve tumors and stop cancer cells from dividing. Studies have also shown that cashews can reduce your colon cancer risk. Their high copper content also endows the seed with the power to eliminate free radicals and they are also good sources of phytochemicals and antioxidants that protect us from heart disease and cancer.

2. Heart Health
Cashews have a lower fat content than most other nuts and most of it is in the form of oleic acid, the same heart-healthy monounsaturated fat found in olive oil. Studies show that oleic acid promotes good cardiovascular health by helping to reduce triglyceride levels, high levels of which are associated with an increased risk for heart disease. Cashews are wonderfully cholesterol free and their high antioxidant content helps lower risk of cardiovascular and coronary heart diseases. The magnesium in cashews helps lower blood pressure and helps prevent heart attacks.

3. Hair and Skin Health
Cashews are rich in the mineral copper. An essential component of many enzymes, copper plays its part in a broad array of processes. One copper-containing enzyme, tyrosinase, converts tyrosine to melanin, which is the pigment that gives hair and skin its color. Without the copper cashews are so abundant in, these enzymes would not be able to do their jobs.

4. Bone Health
Cashews are particularly rich in magnesium. It's a well-known fact that calcium is necessary for strong bones, but magnesium is as well. Most of the magnesium in the human body is in our bones. Some of it helps lend bones their physical structure, and the remainder is located on the surface of the bone where it is stored for the body to use as it needs. Copper found in cashews is vital for the function of enzymes involved in combining collagen and elastin, providing substance and flexibility in bones and joints.

5. Good for the Nerves
By preventing calcium from rushing into nerve cells and activating them, magnesium keeps our nerves relaxed and thereby our blood vessels and muscles too. Too little magnesium means too much calcium can gain entrance to the nerve cell, causing it to send too many messages, and leading to too much contraction.

Insufficient magnesium leads to higher blood pressure, muscle tension, migraine headaches, soreness and fatigue. Not surprisingly, studies have demonstrated that magnesium helps diminish the frequency of migraine attacks, lowers blood pressure and helps prevent heart attacks.

6. Prevent Gallstones
Data collected on 80,718 women from the Nurses' Health Study demonstrates that women who eat at least an ounce of nuts each week, such as cashews, have a 25% lower risk of developing gallstones.

7. Weight Loss
People who eat nuts twice a week are much less likely to gain weight than those who rarely eat nuts. Cashew nuts are indeed relatively high in fat, but it is considered "good fat." This is attributable to the ideal fat ratio in the nut, 1:2:1 for saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated, respectively, which is recommended by scientists for tip-top health. Cashew nuts contain less fat than most other popular nuts, including peanuts, pecans, almonds and walnuts. They are dense in energy and high in dietary fiber, making them a very valuable snack for managing weight gain.

ADVICE TO 40-YEARS OLD & OLDER*

*Because none of us have many years to live, and we can't take along anything when we go, so we don't have to be too thrifty.*

*Spend the money that should be spent, enjoy what should be enjoyed, donate what you are able to donate*

*DON'T WORRY about what will happen after we are gone, because when we return to dust, we will feel nothing about praises or criticisms. The time to enjoy the worldly life and your hard earned wealth will be over!*

*DON'T WORRY too much about your children, for children will have their own destiny and should find their own way. Care for them, love them, give them gifts but also enjoy your money or what is left of it, while you can. Life should have more to it than working from the cradle to the grave!!*

*40-year olds, don't trade in - your health for wealth, by working yourself to an early grave anymore. Because your money may not be able to buy your health.*

*When to stop making money, and how much is enough*

*Out of thousand hectares of good farm land, you can consume only three quarts (of rice) daily; out of a thousand mansions, you only need eight square meters of space to rest at night.*

*So, as long as you have enough food and enough money to spend, that is good enough. You should live happily. Every family has its own problems.*

*Just DO NOT COMPARE with others for fame and social status and see whose children are doing better etc., but challenge others for happiness, health, enjoyment, quality of life and longevity.*

*DON'T WORRY about things that you can't change because it doesn't help and it may spoil your health.*

*You have to create your own well-being and find your own place of happiness. As long as you are in good mood and good health, think about happy things, do happy things daily and have fun in doing, then you will pass your time happily every day.*

*One day passes WITHOUT happiness*, *you will lose one day.*
*One day passes WITH happiness and then you gain one day.*

*In good spirit, sickness will cure*;
*In a happy spirit, sickness will cure faster;*
*in high and happy spirits, sickness will never come.*

*With good mood, exercise, sun, variety of foods, good amount of vitamin and mineral intake, hopefully you will live another 30 or 40 years of healthy life*

*ABOVE ALL* -
Learn to cherish the goodness around... *like your lover, spouse and FRIENDS*........... *They all make you feel young and "wanted"... without them you are surely to feel lost !

On November 7th, 1920, in strictest secrecy, four unidentified British bodies were exhumed from temporary battlefield cemeteries at Ypres, Arras, the Asine and the Somme. None of the soldiers who did the digging were told why. The bodies were taken by field ambulance to GHQ at St-Pol-Sur-Ter Noise. There the bodies were draped with the union flag. Sentries were posted and Brigadier-General Wyatt and a Colonel Gell selected one body at random. A French honour guard was selected and stood by the coffin overnight. On the morning of the 8th, a specially designed coffin made of oak from the grounds of Hampton Court was brought and the unknown warrior placed inside. On top was placed a crusaders sword and a shield on which was inscribed '( a British Warrior who fell in the GREAT WAR 1914-1918 for king and country'.

On The 9th of November, the unknown warrior was taken by horse-drawn carriage through guards of honour and the sound of tolling bells and bugle calls to the quayside. There it was saluted by Marechal Foche and loaded onto HMS Vernon bound for Dover..... the coffin stood on the deck covered in wreaths and surrounded by the French honour guard.

On arrival at Dover, the unknown warrior was greeted with a 19 gun salute, normally only reserved for field marshals. He then traveled by special train to Victoria Station London.
He stayed there overnight and on the morning of the 11th of November, he was taken to Westminster Abbey.

The idea of the unknown warrior was thought of by a Padre called David Railton who had served at the front during the great war and it was the union flag he used as an altar cloth at the front, that had been draped over the coffin. It was his intention that all relatives of the 517,773 combatants whose bodies had not been identified could believe that the unknown warrior could very well be their lost husband, Father, brother or son....

Every year on the 11th of November we Remember the unknown warrior....At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We will remember them.

I walked into a hotel and after going the menu, I ordered some food.
After about 20 minutes a group of guys and ladies walked in and ordered theirs.

To my dismay, these folks got served first. I watched as they began to eat & laugh heartily. I even overhead one of them bragging about how he's connected to everyone in the hotel and I felt mocked. I decided to leave. Unable to take it anymore, I called the waiter.

He calmly told me : " yours is a special order, being prepared by the chief chef himself. Theirs orders were prepared hurriedly by students on attachment because the top chefs are busy with yours. That's why they were served first. Please have some juice as you wait". I calmed down & waited patiently.
Shortly after, my meal was served by 6 waiters.
Unknown to me, the owner of the hotel (who happened to be an old long lost friend of mine) saw me when I entered and decided to surprise me.

She changed my simple meal to a five-star meal. The party at the other table were shocked. They couldn't stop staring . Suddenly they were the ones murmuring, asking why they didn't get that kind of service and meal.
Such is life !

Some people are ahead of you and are eating now, laughing at you and talking about how they are smarter, wiser and better than you, how they are well connected , blessed, have money and are enjoying life. You are waiting tirelessly wondering why its taking so long to breakthrough, You endure mockery and humiliation. May be you've contemplated suicide, gone through depression or suffered severe mental anxiety. Don't you worry !

The owner of the world has seen you and doesn't want you to be served a simple meal like those making a mockery of you.
You're waiting long because yours is a special meal. It takes time to prepare. And only chief chefs prepare them.
Wait for your meal and relax. When it comes that laughing party will be silenced for good.

Stay blessed enjoy your day ! This is my word of encouragement to you all today.

Beautiful letter written by a father to his son and daughter 👌

Following is a letter to his daughter from a renowned Hong Kong TV broadcaster and Child Psychologist.
The words are actually applicable to all of us, young or old, children or parents.!
This applies to all sons & daughters too.
All parents can use this in their teachings to their children.

Dear daughter,

I am writing this to you because of 3 reasons

1.Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody knows how long he lives.
2. I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.
3. Whatever written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot of unnecessary heartaches.

Remember the following as you go through life

1. Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I.
To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he really will be good to you. You have to be careful, don't hastily regard him as a real friend.

2. No one is indispensable, nothing is in the world that you must possess.
Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what you wanted the most.

3. Life is short.
When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life.

4. Love is nothing but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness.
Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of love.

5.A lot of successful people did not receive a good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life.
One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some rags!

6.I do not expect you to financially support me when I am old, neither would I financially support your whole life. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.

7. You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles.

8. I have bought lotteries for umpteen years, but could never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to work hard! There is no free lunch!

9. No matter how much time I have with you, let's treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next life.

Your Parents

"Clearly it diminishes the importance of what is experienced. All attention is focused on the silence, the presence, whether or not I want it to do so. There is nothing but that and everything that happens from one minute to the next is there in the background. It’s exciting. I have fallen in love with this thing, fallen in love with the present moment, or, more precisely with what precedes the present moment. I have fallen in love with this thing that makes it possible to live in a calm and gentle fashion. This vision which sees, which enables seeing without the I/me being there: how could anyone do anything but fall hopelessly in love with it!”

In 2003, and as a result of a spontaneous awakening, Yolande quits her career and her lifestyle to devote herself to the observation of the silence/presence she speaks of. She currently shares her experience and her point of view in gatherings and retreats all over the world:

"The whole problem arises from the belief that we are this person. Silence is our true source and is natural in every one of us"

My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married...

There was only one little thing bothering me...It was her beautiful younger sister...

One day her sister asked me to come home, She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't get over. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married...

Well, I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word...

She said, 'I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want one last wild fling, just come up and get me...'

I stood there for a moment thinking, then turned and walked straight out the front door and headed towards my car...

Lord... And behold, I saw the entire family of my fiancé standing outside, all clapping...!!!

My GF With tears ran to me and hugged me, my father-in-law took my hands and said, 'We are very happy that you have passed our test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to our family...!!!'

And the moral of the story is :

*"Always keep your condoms in your car not in your trousers...!!!"*

Words fall short. It is touch without being touched, something is there that is neither touch nor emotion. It is what you might call the joy of being nothing. In this intensity, the presence is so… present, that I cannot be anywhere else. I cannot get caught up in my thoughts, or by what I see, what I feel or what I do. It is as if the ego cannot reconstruct itself anymore. It is like a fourth state which is so strong, so alive that it prevents me from returning to one of the three usual states – waking, dreaming or deep sleep. There’s no functioning in a personal way like before. At the same time, this presence feels like a sensation that could be likened, at a stretch, to touch. Touch, as in a finger poised at the level of the heart.

It emanates from the heart and encompasses everything. Everything that appears, from one minute to the next, appears within this thing. This profound feeling that I am there without being there. Something continues to see, to function, but I can no longer be tricked or trapped in my old psyche. Things perceived no longer have any power. They are there in the background. Even if Yolande’s way of doing things does not seem to have changed, inside, this thing is there in the foreground, each and every minute there in the foreground.

In 2003, and as a result of a spontaneous awakening, Yolande quits her career and her lifestyle to devote herself to the observation of the silence/presence she speaks of. She currently shares her experience and her point of view in gatherings and retreats all over the world:

'I AM ASTOUNDED BY AN INTENSITY THAT FILLS ME WITH JOY'

Author: So, this sensation you speak of does not have anything to do with what we call sensations: body sensation. Does physical sensation mean anything to you anymore?

Yolande: Yes, provided we specify that it belongs to the three worlds, the three states: the waking state, dreaming state and sleeping state. But this ‘thing’ that sees and senses is beyond all senses, beyond all states. It is what allowed me to discover the intensity, the sensation which, for me, is beyond the senses.

Coming back to what we could call the normal senses, they too are becoming more pronounced and more refined. This is to say I sense and perceive things as both stronger and more subtle at one and the same time – without counting all these sensations that are beyond the senses.

Author: When you say you sense these things more intensely, what do you sense? A fragrance? An emotion? The sky’s beauty? Everything?

Yolande: Yes, everything, with an intensity unknown until now. Which varies constantly. And I do not decide on the intensity of it. It can totally engulf me when I’m alone in bed – my body is penetrated by all sorts of energies, by ecstasies – or when I’m gazing at a blue sky or, of course, when with other human beings. In any case, everything I feel is multiplied by thousands, by tens of thousands, and I don’t know where these variations in intensity come from.

Author: What would you call these things that are felt? Joy, or fear, sadness, questioning, curiosity? Or do they have more of an emotional quality to them?

Yolande: It is different from what I felt in the past: it has no name. I am astounded by an intensity that fills me with joy – not the kind of joy where you jump for joy, but an inner joy that leaves me needing nothing other than what appears in that instant, nothing else whatsoever, so I feel … alive.
