It was getting dark. Someone was calling from behind the locked iron gate.

An elderly person was standing behind the gate. The clothes wrinkled and with a small bag in his hand he appeared to have travelled some distance coming here. Looking into a small piece of paper in his hands he enquired, “Isn’t this Anand, Number 8, Yogananda Street, my son?”

“Yes, I am Anand and this is the address. And you…”, I mumbled looking at this old man.

Slightly shivering and moistening his dry lips with the tongue he replied, handing over the letter, “Babu, I am your father’s friend. I am coming from your village. Your father gave me this letter and advised that I seek help from you”.

Taking that letter from him, exclaiming “father?”, I eagerly read that letter. “Dear Anand, blessings to you. The person carrying this letter is my friend. His name is Ramayya. Works hard. A few days ago, his only son died in an accident. He is running around seeking compensation. I am sending the police reports after the accident, the compensation affidavits given by the Travel Agents and other relevant papers. He was told that the final payment may be collected in the Head Office. This is his first visit to Hyderabad and he is a stranger. I am hoping that you would be able to help him. Take care of your health. Visit us at your earliest convenience. Your loving father”.

Ramayyagaru was standing watching me. I thought for a moment and invited him inside. Giving him some water to drink, I enquired, “Did you have anything to eat?”.

He replied, “No, my son. As the journey got delayed, I ate the two fruits that I brought with me.”

Going inside I prepared four dosas and served them with pickles. Saying, “You please eat”, I went out and made a couple of calls and returned.

When I returned, I found that he had finished the tiffin and was sitting with a few papers in his hand. There was a photo of his deceased son. The boy was handsome and young. May be 22 years. My eyes moistened.

“He is my only son. Those who were born before him died due to various other causes. He was the only one we had. Mahesh was his name. He studied well and got a job. Assuring us that he will take care of us and we would get over all hardships he took up the job. On the fateful day he was involved in a road accident while crossing the road. Died on the spot. Not wishing to take compensation in the name of the deceased son we were initially reluctant. But day by day, I am becoming weak and my wife too is not doing well. With your father’s insistence I came here. Saying my son will help, he sent me with this letter”, he concluded.

“Fine. It’s late now. Take rest”. Saying this I too slept.

Next morning, we got ready, had coffee at home and started. Finishing breakfast on the way, we reached the Office address mentioned in the documents.

“Anand, I will take care of the rest. You attend to your office work” said Ramayyagaru.

“No issue. I have taken leave for today”, I replied. Being with him I got the compensation paid to him. “Thank you, dear son. My wife is alone at home and I will go back home”, said the old man.

“Come, I will drop you at the bus-stand and see you off.” I took him to the bus-stand, got him a ticket, bought a few fruits to eat on the way.

He said with joy in his eyes, he said, “Anandbabu, taking leave for my sake you helped me a lot. Soon after going home I will narrate everything to your father and thank him too.”

Smiling and holding his hands I explained, “I am not your friend’s son Anand. I am Aravind. You came to the wrong address. That Anand’s house is another 2 km away. You were already tired and I didn’t have the heart to tell you the truth. I called the number in your letter and enquired. His wife said that Anand had gone out of town on some work. I called your friend and told him too. He felt very sad. Once I assured him that I will take care he felt good. The loss you have suffered is irreparable. But I felt that I should help you. That I did it gives me greatest pleasure.”

As the bus moved, holding my hands Ramayya left with tears of gratitude in his eyes. “God bless you, my child”, were his parting words.

That is enough for me, I thought. My father passed away fifteen years earlier. Now looking at Ramayyagaru I felt my father has returned.

Looking up at the sky I thought my father must be somewhere there. “Dad, did you come in this form to check my progress in life! Sending me a letter, were you testing me whether I would help or not? Born to a great father like you, as a son I have performed by duty. Are you happy?” Tears of joy flooded my eyes.

*“Have an intention to help. Nature will work out the way.”*

A man and a woman were having a quiet, romantic dinner in a fine restaurant.

They were gazing lovingly at each other and holding hands.

The waitress, taking another order at a table a few steps away, suddenly noticed the woman slowly sliding down her chair and under the table but the man stared straight ahead.

The waitress watched as the woman slid all the way down her chair and out of sight under the table. Still, the man stared straight ahead.

The waitress, thinking this behavior a bit risque and worried that it might offend other diners, went over to the table and, tactfully, began by saying to the man: "Pardon me, sir, but I think your wife just slid under the table."

Man replied: "Naah.. She just arrived in the restaurant..!" 😂😂

*Naval Officer Rescues Drowning Man at Vypin Beach, Kochi*

Lt Rahul Dalal, Navigating Officer, INS Sutlej was at Vypin beach near Kochi Lighthouse for sight seeing along with his wife on the evening of 05 Apr 19. At about 4.10 p.m. the officer noticed a person struggling in water, unable to swim and trying to shout for help. A crowd had gathered, but were not able to help the victim. Lt Dalal responded immediately and went to the rescue of the drowning man, putting his own life at risk. It took him only a few minutes to reach the victim, but almost 20-25 min to bring him back to shore - despite being a good swimmer - as the undertow was strong. The officer also had to deal with the desperate and panicked victim who was pulling him down, putting both their lives in danger. The officer calmed the victim and made him hold onto his shoulders, after which he started swimming towards the beach. Though the victim was heavy, Lt Rahul mustered all his strength and managed to reach the shore with the help of some locals. The victim was, however, not breathing and unconscious. When his mouth was opened, it was found that some mangrove plants were choking his air passage. The passage was cleared from the victim's mouth and he was administered Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by Lt Rahul, whereupon he was revived. In the meantime, the police were informed and the victim was taken to a nearby Government hospital from where he has been discharged after recuperating from his brush with death.

Creation came out of an enormous womb. This female or enormous Shakti is our Mother Nature. Male the primordial energy is just a hidden and non active aspect. Now we can understand how powerful the female energy would be. It is pulsating in each and every species. It is flowing powerfully in Male body equally. The power in Male body is that Shakti element (female aspect).. In India we worship this powerful female aspect of creation twice in the transition periods of season called Navratri. It is the reminder to us to celebrate or worship this Shakti, recognise this Shakti which is the prime cause of all creative forces. Male members are especially involved in this nine day worship to understand that enormous Female- Maa Durga which is in each and every body especially visible in females.
Vedas tell us-
“यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवता:।”
(Where woman is worshipped there God resides)
Vedic Women knew themselves and conduct themselves in that powerful way.. that’s why they were most respected and powerful in each and every households.
With advent of modern age It is so disheartening to see that Women themselves forgot their power. They are trying to become an object and competing to project outward their false image
and keep losing their inner strength. While there is no competition whatsoever. They are foundation of a country, a society and a family. All Powerful women are like a Mother who protect and make through their inner strength a society powerful by creating power packed and confident further Males females. Where females are strong and have power, society prosper, where they are not respected, source of lust, exploitation, and closed behind the doors, a great possibility is shut down and whole society will become an animal kingdom.

Happy Navratri !! Happy Vedic New Year!! ❤️❤️❤️

Can’t get enough of this .. much after it’s over ... it lingers on in my head in my heart .

Untouched , untainted ...Was watching this movie - Night train to Lisbon , based on the novel by

Pascal Mercier on the life of a Portuguese doctor nd philosopher Amadeo du Prado . Caught in the turbulent

times of Salazar’s right wing dictatorship in Portugal.

As Amadeo quotes :

We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place . We stay there even though we go away.

And there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there. We travel to ourselves when we go to a place .

Now we have covered the stretch of our lives , no matter how brief it may have been .

Lisboa , Lisbon a place I visited many moons ago .. remains so fresh in my memory .. perhaps something i left behind ,

a memory , a sunset .. just like listening to The Queen , started off with my teenage years.. listening to it makes me

go back from where all my adventure for life started .. we never really loose anything ... just need to travel back to the

memory in time ..

Some people have a way with inspiring a generation ... today after watching Bohemian Rhapsody ..

I realized how much Freddie Mercury had inspired me to follow my dreams years ago ..

scared and apprehensive at setting foot outside my known territory - to study in a country far away from home,

and my known world . I made that call , I was listening to A lot of Phil Collins , Wham , M Jackson and others,

those days - it was, I want to break free one ..of the best selling numbers from the band . A friends friend was playing that for a college gig , I went along to hear them practice . Till then I had not been introduced to the

music of The Queen ... it was an instant love .. an affair that would last my life time.

Today , after watching the much acclaimed - and rightfully so , Bohemian Rhapsody movie ..

all those feelings came rushing . I didn’t stop my tears that formed at the corner of my eyes ..

the energy of Freddie Mercury was always infectious , the struggle the pathos to be understood in a world that

believes in conformation ...a misfit for others who believe in a formula of fitting in.

To be free to do what your heart wants , create music , ahead of its time .. that’s the magic of a genius.

How many of us r ready to live for themselves to be true to the passion that they believe in.

It’s easy to surrender to the dictates in society .. but what about your heart ... how do u reconcile

with your heart that wants to sing a different tune. Why conform , when u can be free ..

Let’s break free .. just as Freddie did years ago ... believe in love and the magic of listening to the heart ..

for the heart knows only one thing, to be happy in what you love to do the most.

To Bohemian Rhapsody .. long live the music of Freddie Mercury and the Queen .

Start your day knowing what your heart love, when opened to creating...

Your energy with good loving intentions sends/gives out a healing frequency to everything you touch and everything around you. Just being with a loving heart, you are changing the vibration to that place, that person...that area and beyond! Yes... your energy is that powerful.

Your loving heart is changing the energy/frequency of your family, friends, work colleagues, animal life, plant life, water, food, leylines and Earth Chakras of our World... absolutely everything that is within your inner and outer surroundings is being healed and is healable. Your love is changing everything.

We are Avatars walking our divine spiritual awakening here on Planet Earth remembering, where ever we go we are cleansing/transmuting everything that flows into our awareness, raising/cleansing the vibration of everything we touch.

This lifetime we are here to change/undo everything.

All beautiful things start from heart...

All bad things start from mind...

So never let the mind rule your heart... let the heart rule your mind.

WAKE UP EVERY MORNING AND TELL YOURSELF I CAN DO THIS!

I Found this analogy interesting:

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Well because someone bumped into me, of course!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out.

Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

So we have to ask ourselves... "what's in my cup?"

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?

Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

You choose!

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation for ourselves; and kindness, gentleness and love for others....

Six honest serving men – Rudyard Kipling
I keep six honest serving-men
They taught me all I knew;
Their names are What and Why and When
And How and Where and Who.
I send them over land and sea,
I send them east and west;
But after they have worked for me,
I give them all a rest.

This stanza is about the author’s way of learning about the world. His “serving men” are the questions he asks of the things around him: “what?” “why?” “when?” “how?” “where?” and “who?” These “men”/questions are honest because this is the best way to objectively learn the truth. The speaker seems open to learning new things and seeking the truth. He does put the word “knew” in the past tense, though, and says that he gives the questioning “a rest,” which leads us to the next stanza.

I let them rest from nine till five,
For I am busy then,
As well as breakfast, lunch, and tea,
For they are hungry men.

In these four lines, the speaker essentially says that his questioning brain doesn’t actually function anymore, but is pretty much always “resting.” He no longer questions at all; he simply accepts his foundation of knowledge and does not challenge new claims or information as they come along. This is a satirical way of criticizing adults who become complacent about the world around them and become entirely “busy” and caught up in the motions of the daily grind without stopping to think about the significance of their actions or the events of the world around them.

But different folk have different views;
I know a person small—
She keeps ten million serving-men,
Who get no rest at all!

She sends’em abroad on her own affairs,
From the second she opens her eyes—
One million Hows, two million Wheres,
And seven million Whys!

The second half of the second stanza and the final stanza are both talking about the refreshing curiosity of children. The speaker says he has become too lazy to take an active interest in the world around him, but his daughter (or some little girl he knows) has not. She is always looking around her and asking questions. This is like the two-year-old who can’t seem to stop asking “but why?” Saying that “different folk have different views” suggests that the speaker sees the child’s young toddler perspective as equal to his own, perhaps even superior.

Overall, the poem is a reflection on the wisdom of children (who see the world around them with fresh eyes) and the stagnation of the adult spirit as life goes on.
