There is nothing that gets my blood boiling faster than entitled people that look down on others, and I absolutely adore the way in which you used your poetry to call those kinds of people out, & metaphorically slap them right across the face; the second-hand catharsis was good for my soul. I felt this writing of yours resonate with me to my core. I have experienced this shift in a friendship/connection myself, and it truly is such an unbearable experience to go through; you put it into words perfectly. It is such an empty feeling when someone you once knew better than anyone has suddenly become a stranger to you- it is unsettling in the worst ways, and you try so desperately to remind them of who they once were, or who y’all once were together, but for whatever reason, deep down, you know your efforts are in vain, and the dread in the pit of your stomach that comes with the realization that your life with them as you knew it is over, is almost so heavy that it’s physically sickening. I’m so sorry you know, & have experienced it well enough to have written about it so clearly & succinctly. I hope that writing all of this out served as a step towards your healing 💜 please keep writing- you are amazing at it!
This poem is absolutely beautiful, and profound. You truly captured the essence of knowing you are stubborn, and seeing how it unfolds in your relationships and possibly destroys them, but being unable to do anything about it because it’s just who the both of you are.

I don’t know you, I just joined this platform, but I want you to know that I think you are doing the right thing by divorcing him and moving on. Please do not ever go back- it sounds like it was a terribly abusive relationship (abuse doesn’t always have to be physical), and I am so thankful that you are free. I will also be praying for his betterment, for the sake of your kids, and for you, as well. I pray that God gives you strength, clarity, peace, and comfort amongst all of this chaos going on in your life right now; you will make it through. 💜 I do want to say that you should be cautious about jumping right in to another relationship, especially with someone significantly older, please be safe and pray on it. Lastly, if you ever feel like you ex is putting your children in danger, or you feel he’s on too rough of a road himself & can’t handle taking care of them, do not hesitate to do what you need to do to keep them safe, & with you. I can tell you are an amazing person, who is doing their best, and I want you to know that I am glad you exist. I will be praying for you 💜 you are doing great. Be proud of yourself.
Wow. This writing really pulled at my heartstrings. I felt as if I was right there with you, soaking in the sights, sounds, and colors in the vivid detail you described; your writing style is beautiful. I could feel your emotions as well; your youth, how content you were, your love, and even your lingering pain. I am assuming this is autobiographical? If so, I am so sorry that you went through such betrayal- twice. You deserved more; you deserved loyalty. You deserved that forever you dreamed of. I hope you know that their betrayals are not a reflection of you- you have been, and always will be deserving of the very best, and it’s on them that they couldn’t give you that. I hope that you can look back on those happy memories with fondness now, though- I know betrayal does taint everything that comes before it, but I’m hoping that maybe that stain will have faded over time for you, so that you can enjoy looking back on the love & happiness you experienced in those moments. I hope that you will continue to write, and post more of your writings- I love your style, how descriptive you are, and the way you are able to immerse your readers in your memories along with you.
