This is super descriptive! I love that! You can really visualize the couch and the setting. And yes, moving a couch sucks! I am also glad I am not the only one with a fireplace that never gets used!

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So very true! Everyone has struggles in their life at some point, though some others struggle a lot more than others. I am glad you made it to the top. Not every one does. My wife and I have struggled for years as she went to school. She could have quit and got some meaningless job to help out more, but we wanted her to have a career. Now she does and should get her first paycheck tomorrow. It will be bigger than her working a few months at a minimum wage job. The climb was hard. Now our life will get easier! It didnt kill us, so we are stronger!

This post perfectly explains the rules and Requirements of the contest. It is very clearly stated so that people will not have any issues understanding. It’s also not overtly complicated. Normally, I do not do much with poetry, but this really spoke to me. It says, in a way, that everything has purpose. No matter what it does or feels like in the moment, their is a reason for it in the long run. Learn from your past, and accept that things happen. Another thing i do not normally do, is give a 5 star rating. But I am going to for this! Very well done!
This is a wonderful idea! I have not had a lot of experience with Augmented reality stuff, but this would be so useful for so many people! Plus, who does not want to see their home on an alien planet with two moons and such! I feel like the person who this is about, is going to be making a fair bit of money of this soon! Good for him! Short, Sweet, and full of meaning! A great, yet simple way, to honor those who have died fighting for the freedoms most people don't realize they even have.
One of my life regrets is not joining the armed forces. (My dad was air force, and an asshole, so it turned me off the idea) but I have deep respect for those who have and do serve!
I always remember snow on Christmas and how much it made that day better. (Though ipads were not around when I was a kid!). I like how the older child is letting his younger sibling still believe in Santa. I had 3 older brothers (two of them step brothers) and they ruined that magic for me when I was very young. It also would have been nice to play in the snow while dad shovels, but us kids did all the shoveling since I was about six!

Of course reading this, one would assume that the date was between Thoam and Robberti. It was an interest twist to find out t they had other dates.
This was fun and easy to read. Well written. Interesting name choices too. Seems like uncommon spellings of common names Tom=Thoam. Roberta=Robertti. I like it. Maybe it’s common to you but it’s new to me!

This was an interesting piece to read! I like the descriptions you used and how well it flowed. My only thought is that you kind of spoil the fact that the kids find the presents , before actually describing the search. I think it would be more fun to learn if they find them, as they are finding them.

This is fun! I love the idea of the character being able to understand and communicate with the narrator! Kind of makes me wonder what the narrator of my life has to say about me!
This a very unique idea that i have not seen done before. Sure, I have seen the movie “Stranger than Fiction” where the guy can hear his narrator, but he couldn’t talk to her as she narrated! Such a clever idea! I would love to see more of these two and their interactions!

So to start, I am not that interested in poetry and do not count myself a good judge of its worth. That being said, I really enjoyed reading this. I felt like it had a good flow to it and read very well. I do not know how poems are supposed to be broken into line by line or whatever, but I like how short the verses are. They make for a quick and satisfying read.
I agree with most of this! I would say that the last part should be correct, but I know a lot of parents who are not there for their children, it that is another tale for another time.
Sometimes you need to evaluate the relationships you have and determine if they are worth keeping in your life.

This was fun to read. I want to go on vacation with this lady! Her adventures sound surreal! But why did she carry so much odd food with her? Banana for the moose, salmon for the bear. Weird lady. And George just following her around like some private paparazzi, taking pictures of her strange near death experiences. So much fun to read!
I have heard this argument quite a bit in the past. I agree. I am an American from the USA. There are Americans from Canada, Brazil, Portugal, and many others. It's just another way that the United States of America tries to prove it's superiority in the world. I'm just going to move to Canada.
