I enjoyed this piece...extremely!
I read it many times, slowly, and I interjected pauses at various sentence endings to
feel your words brimming with absolute confidence to hammer into the brain of your former beau.
I feel his loss and your justification.

I like that 'resolve to or commit to'.

I didn't know that women at home can make $1000 per month writing.
I would imagine sending pieces of work to popular magazines.

I like your piece and am encouraging you to explore writing a novel.
You are blessed since writing flows from your pen rapidly.
I am writing a novel but through daily obstacles of thought, procrastination, lazyness (shameful). I belong to a writers group (six women and myself) and receive encouragement there. I'll say a prayer for you, praying that you'll receive payment for your work. I can imagine your thrill receiving a check for a submitted piece of your reading joy.

Good writing.
Great ending and I didn't think a surprise could come in such a short time.

Personally I would like to have read a bit more about the brother and Cassie's relationship.

All in all I liked your story.

Absolutely funny! Written in a funny manner too. You portray both instances well.
I was surprised to read that she actually hurt her instructor. How embarassing.

Including both stories into one added mightily to profess her driving incompentance.
I smiled reading that you still enjoy telling this story. You two must be great friends.

Review of Christmas Stray
Review by Hugo

So sad. You didn't need to rekindle my sadness for all the undeserved homeless and abused creatures in our very midst. I am reminded of their plight practically daily. Such a wonderful story you tell from this unfortunate creatures perspective. Your words placed me into the dogs mind and I could feel his ache and loneliness and see his hopelessness.
As I read I felt such a downturn and I expected the wandering mutt to be noticed by a child that loved his color or spots or who reminded him of a past pet. The overjoyed child would demand that his folks adopt him and the Christmas stray would live happily ever after.
Not to be. Your ending contains far more truth.
Well done.

What an excellent story. I could not look away for a moment. I love the abrupt corner turning and the emotional feelings.
I could feel Tucker's pain and his longing to rid himself of his hurt to the point of suicide.

The Chinese girl brings a link of spiritualism to the story.

I enjoyed your story very much. Thank you for your writing.
