This could be a very interesting story about an unusual first date. I was a little distracted because of some editing issues.
Suggestions: Please consider using the 'spell' function on the top line of your item. This will catch spelling errors like: 'opions' [opinions], 'resiting' [resisting], openning [opening], 'bussiness' [business]. In your dialogue, you need to start a new paragraph for each speaker. Then there would be no confusion about who is saying what.
I think if you clean up these issues, the story will read a lot smoother. Good Luck and Write On!!

This is a great story about a compassionate young man fixing up an old bicycle for a disadvantaged friend. Through your words, I could picture him lovingly and patiently renovating the old bike. I like your metaphor about the magnolia tree being a constant:
But like the magnolia tree that appears unchanged throughout the year, there is one constant in our lives. We are all connected to one another; through our actions and reactions, we are emotionally conjoined. The responsibility we assume to heed one another’s sensibilities is the foundation of humanity; and a lesson we all, at some point, must learn.
Unfortunately, some of us never learn this lesson and go through life without assuming this responsibility.
Suggestions: One itty-bitty error. "I didn’t know who’s face to watch;" should be "I didn’t know whose face to watch;" Whose instead of 'who is' [who's].

What a wonderful, heartwarming story of your memories of your grandfather; this story is a real tribute to him and his love for you. My favorite line:
It has been a comfort to know he was there with me, teaching life through the memory of his patience and understanding; and of course, while I experienced the wonders of God's outdoors.
It is so comforting that a coat, or any other beloved object, can stir loving memories of wonderful people who enriched our lives.

I absolutely love your story of your visit to Rome with two other teachers from Arkansas. Your tale of getting to the hotel from the airport was hysterical. I empathized with you every step of the way. The guffawing taxi drivers reminded me of a business trip to New York where our "friendly taxi driver" gave us a long lecture on "looking too much like tourists." I'll never forget it. Traveling does broaden one. Thanks for sharing your funny story.

Just dropped by to review your story. May I say, "Right On!" Truer words were never spoken. You have hit the nail on the head, etc. etc. etc...all those cliches apply here! I laughed all the way through your story. It made me picture my last visit to Wal-Mart. Maybe we should print this up in fliers to put on windshields in the parking lot. Maybe you could write another one about the people who drive the electic carts so demonically. I know they're disabled, but gee whiz! A very realistic story of a bargain bought in a thrift store and the "glimpses" of a crime it brings to the new owner. I believe this is how some psychics are able to help police solve crimes. Your story is very well-written and believable. I'm glad Marge didn't ignore her "glimpses" the way most of us tend to do in real life.

You've written a very insightful and thought-provoking story of a man working to feed his family. You let us feel his satisfaction with earning enough to feed them daily, while trying to put aside a little bit to feed them when he has no work. We feel his desperation when there is no work and and his heartbreaking decision to rob the store, for food. We know a lot of poor people are driven to crime in these hard times but Jose pays the ultimate price. We can only imagine what will happen to his family.

You've written a beautiful story about an adoption which brought happiness to a great family and a blessed little girl. You give the reader a peek at all sides of the adoption story and help us empathize with the birth mother who had to give up her child against her will. If only all adoptions worked out this well.

I chose to read your poem to encourage myself to get enthusiastic about Thanksgiving. It's right around the corner. Thanks for reminding me how thankful I am for my blessings and the bounty we all share. Sometimes it seems we have to search for something to be thankful for, but if we stop and think about it, we are surrounded by blessings every day. I particulary like:

This is a beautiful version of the story of the first Thanksgiving. You describe a visit of the beautiful Was***u to the campfire of Spirit Chaser and his people. He inspires them to help the White People in this story which sounds like it could be a parable from the Bible. It is an inspiring story and brought me a lot of joy while I read it. Kudos to you! You will be so glad you did this as you grow older. I regret very much that I didn't write down all the family stories my dad and mom told me. When you're young, these stories are (as I remember telling my kids} just 'Grandma and Grandpa reliving the past.' We hear those stories so often and we just take them for granted until everyone is gone and you're looking around for someone to help you remember.
Your children will thank you for it when they are older, also. Maybe when you're not even still around to know how much they appreciate it.

Your story is very good. It is well-written, with no errors in grammar or sentence structure that I noticed. Your descriptions of your characters and their surroundings made it possible for me, as the reader, to feel the frustration, terror and dismay of your main character.
