THIS POEM SPEAKS OF THE UPS AND DOWNS OF LOVE. You
have spoken from your heart and though you write
of quarrels and tears, your love will never be
foresaken because of you willingness to forgive AND
forget. LOVE is forgetting after forgiveness..for

TO TEARS...TRUE LOVE IS "ENVELOPED IN A MIST" AS THE

MY FAVORITE PART:.."She has the strength he gives to her," HE has a wife that loves him. When
you can make someone strong enough to be able to stand on their own, you have really given them a love
that is true..because you are allowing them to be
who they are...not someone having to depend on you
for everything. IT IS LIKE SETTING A BIRD FREE TO
FLY, AND THEN WATCHING THEM COME BACK TO YOU, JUST
BECAUSE THEY WANT TO...
WE GROW OLD, WE PASS THROUGH THE VEIL TO THE OTHER
SIDE, INTO ETERNITY ALONE...LEAVING THE OTHER TO
GRIEVE, NOT BECAUSE WE CHOSE TO BECAUSE THAT IS NOT

Ahhhhh...Licorice you have got my
mouth watering for some now!
OF COURSE, THE TITLE drew me in. This was a very
well written, informative collection of licorice
originations and concoctions..the more I READ, the
more I WANTED to know about this scrumtious treat.
It is interesting to know that the Dutch traders were
probably the first to bring "these yummies" to the
western world..HURRAH FOR THE DUTCH! You did a lot
of research in this and to know that it was used for medicinal purposes for coughs, chest problems, even
stomach complaints will give me another excuse to
nibble on this delicious treat.
MY FAVORITE... you noted that the addition of salt to LICORICE was first introduced by the French also for medicinal purposes and that in your country sunbathers carry it to the beach to keep their mouths and throats moist in the hot sun. NEXT trip to the
beach, LICORICE will definatly be packed in among the towels and lotions!

always so hard to understand when a loved one is

that it is so much harder us. We have faith, and we
know God has called them home, yet we miss them so

I could actually feel my own heart racing..Then a
true feeling of emotion, the tears followed.
I FELT the love that God has for us to make this

caring. To also wish that she will find someone

HERE, because of the deep sorrow that I FELT reading
about the abuse you had to suffer. NO ONE SHOULD
have to be tormented this way whether physically or
mentally. What tore at me the most was when you said
"...until I got smart enough to become a recluse."
That anyone should have to endure abuse is bad enough,
but to become isolated because of fear is horrendous.
..to be too scared to tell or trust anyone...should
never never happen to anyone.

THIS MEMOIR WAS SO VIVIDLY WRITTEN THAT
I BECAME TOTALLY INVOLVED WITH ALL THE HORRIFIC
THINGS YOU HAD TO ENDURE GROWING UP. I understand
exactly why you do not call Belinda your mother.
There is such a resemblance between your story and
my granddaughter's experience with her mother that
reading yours made my heart break twice. I was
happy in a way that you did have siblings to care
for, even though you were way too young, and this
never should have been put upon your shoulders. I AM
SURE THAT YOU HAVE BECOME STRONG BECAUSE OF THESE
TERRIBLE YEARS OF ABUSE.
TO BE ABLE TO SHARE YOUR STORY NOW I WONDER IF IT

THE TITLE is what led me to this, my last review
for the day and a wonderful thought to remember.
The content so well expressed speaks to
me of your true love of JESUS CHRIST. It is powerful
because you ask HIM TO "GRANT ME YOUR HOLY LOVE NOW
AND FOREVER." So many take this for granted and forget to ask Him for HIS love. I
know that He will always give us our righteous desires, so from now on I WILL ALSO ask HIM TO GRANT ME HIS LOVE.
I think you forgot to write "of" after divinity in
the third line of the first verse.
YOURS IS A PERFECT PRAYER...first verse to worship,
second verse to show your faith " show me the way"
and third verse, repentance, which we all need to
do each and every day.

was beautifully expressed and ever so easy to relate
to, because YOU enabled the reader to return to the

is so true that we need to listen to the animals if
we wish to communicate with them...A wagging tail
always speaks of love, and from some, a bark or meow
will tell of joy, anger, excitement, fear, or just

These folders containing other peoples
lives have many different reasons why you should or
should not act. YES, I believe that you need super
human strength to weigh all the facts and then use discernment to decide the fate of the families that
have been put in your hands. You work as a team, asking for Divine guidance, but if not you, then who,
will decide what is best. IT IS NOT EASY, BUT IT
IS NECESSARY FOR THE SAKE OF THE CHILDREN, FOR THE
HELP OF THE PARENTS WHO NEED HELP. No, you are not
perfect..but you DO YOUR BEST..AND THAT IS ALL ANYONE
CAN EXPECT.
This intervention in other people's lives
is so important in so many critical instances. MAY
GOD ALWAYS BE THERE TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH AND THE

Well written, this captured the sorrow, the emptiness
the fear of the aftereffects of 911. NONE KNEW
what to expect next, and your vivid description of
the absence of the eagle, the skybirds and the feeling
of security that was lost, was very well expressed.
We lost a great deal that day even more horrific than
all the lives and that is the loss of confidence that
we are safe living in a country such as ours.
Perhaps we will never take our safety for granted again.
