This short story teaches such a valuable lesson in
life that promises made should definetely be kept.
I was expecting that there would be a shiny new bike
under the Christmas tree for the effort and change in
Ravi's attitude about his schoolwork. The father let
me down too. I felt sorry for the boy and wanted to
give him a hug for encouragement to let him know that
the end result was not as important as the EFFORT that
he showed. As a grown up he became unwilling to trust. I liked the character you presented of a very
typical little boy, more interested in play than in
learning. Yet ENCOURAGEMENT and a promise of a shiny
new bike made him try harder. We all grow from
encouragement and love. Why ever make a promise that
you do not keep. Great job here. The only thing
I had trouble with here was so many unfamiliar words.
This is just my opinion, though, I AM still teachable
and should extend my vocabulary. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS

appreciate a critique that is totally honest, because
without honesty from an outsider the creation may

Well for starters on this review, let me Congratulate
you for even going to Wyoming in the middle of winter
pulling a U-haul behind you! The story was very funny,
(as long as I didn't have to live it!) My favorite
part was the welcome wagon coming home with your
husband. It is so typical of a small town where neighbors are still willing to help one another. To
be able to laugh over this later I SUSPECT that having
four children has given you quite a sense of humor.

This poem truly inspires one to get their creativity
flowing. I particularly liked the suggestion that
you "captivate the reader" and the last verse is almost purr-fect! IT MIGHT FLOW BETTER THIS WAY..
"make it clear all "that" you have said." My favorite part is when you remind the reader that they
should make it clear. Sometimes if the meaning is
not too clear, when I have to try too hard to figure
out what the writer is really saying, I may end up
with a totally different picture than the writer has
painted.

This was the most interesting Port I have read and
I only stumbled across it from a visit to PRINCES
MEGAN SNOW ROSE's Port.
The reason I am sending this review to one more
experienced than I am at writing, is because I like
to read "from the heart" items. YOU SAY IT HOW IT
IS WITHOUT PREACHING. Now that is a gift, you either
have it or you don't.
Reading is my passion, and since discovering WDC 3
weeks ago, my husband doesn't see too much of me.
MY FAVOIRITE PART IS TO BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH

a kindly spirit. I especially liked that advice was
given to "follow your dreams" and also to "talk to

I really liked the flow of the words of the heartbroken girl. It told a story too often lived by
those hoping for more. It presented a image of a
young love hoped for but only by one of the characters. It portrayed reality. The only thing
I would suggest is re thinking the title. I am not able to relate to this being " a bad kisser", only an
empty kiss. MAYBE IT WAS "TRAITOR'S BREATH" that would have meant more as a title. JUST AN OPINION. It said so much more than the words to
me, maybe because I felt that kiss once so long ago,
wanting it to be more than it was meant to be. GOD

liked your reference of Emily to a circle. When you
hear your name, it does bring many lovely images such
as you described. My favorite was the image of a beautiful sun setting on the horizon of the beach. This name is very special to me as it is the name of
my Granddaughter, who spent funfilled days with me in

This was a darling account of your noisy bird. I am
very familar with exotic birds,having a yellow nape
Amazon who hated men. Would never think of putting
him in a moving van. The movers would not have gotten
mine that far. The day of our closing he bit the
real estate man in the face. He later sued us and won,
making my bird even more valuable only because of the
money we had spent on him. YOURS, however was fun to
read. I rated it 5 because I liked the honest humer
