How fascinating. I just love a tale like this. So interesting is the blind man, that his tale becomes a mini-suspense thriller. I liked your fascinating descriptions and your journey-like vision that ended in such a fateful twist at the end. I likened it to classic Aisian Fables which give us such joy. Best Regards.

Review of Shadow Detective
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
I found that "Shadow Detective" had all the makes and breaks of a good detective in a fantasy-light. It kept my attention throughout and had all senses going for me. No grammar mistakes, no misspelling. Good suspense. I might have got slightly confused with the movement but got right back on track with concentration. Active voice magic. A must for good writers.

What a good little poem for a contest entry. I liked your cat immediately. With as many contests that are going on, I chose to review the Eternally True Friends Contest and found all kinds of animal lovers to my liking. Nice item! Best Regards.

Excellent poem. A yarn to tell, the poem speaks well, has true form, and carries a wonderful subject. I like your poem, it is natural. Rhyme by no means hinders you, it helps. Saw this in a past Romance/Love Newsletter. Best Regards.

I just love this poem. It has the heart of a lover, the lines are powerful and the line I like most is "Beloved wrack your soul for love". Your rhyme is admirable and the resistance to confusion great. A very breathable poem. Saw it in a past Romance/Love Newsletter. Best Regards.

A wonderful poem that can be found in this week's
Spiritual Newsletter for so many others too! A grand look and love and the strength of wanting it, nosing into words showing safety from peril, and really giving us something to bite down and think about. Thanks, Joy.

Great turns of phrase. I liked your "magic uncouth"-- it was a great line. The poem was energetic, and filled with 'music'. Descriptive brilliance for a good one. I found it in this week's Romance/Love Newsletter-wow. Best Regards.

Review of The Intangible

Such a great little poem. It twists through such force of voice that I just simply enjoyed it. It breathed, it was grabbling the world and a man with one hand, and it really sailed. The use of words is not it, I know, but they help!!!!! Thanks for sharing. Best Regards.

Review of Bare Trees

I grappled with the interesting contrasts of this piece. It moves and becomes one at the end, as
"The wind, at least, blows constant." Yes, it can be said that this second-person "you" is a shy, unknown in this piece and becomes 'relish' for the hot dog. Very nice. Good description. I liked your phrases, crisp, original. Featured in this week's Romance/Love Newsletter--wow. Best Regards.

Nice refreshing thoughts like these are always a joy to reminisce over. You have a free and easy form here and using Grossblank, the poem was nicely done. It was a very refreshing piece of work.

What a lushly good poem! I just loved each line.
With a prompt like that, you have to come up with something special, and you really did. Your active
words ensconced a lovely portrait. Just great. Glad to see it featured in this week's Poetry Newsletter. Best Regards.

There is such sweet poignancy to this poem. Each line builds to make an "Ark" for us, and shows us the many things we love to dream about. Sometimes these things get lost in the way side, and we find them less important than we should. These things are what we want to cherish and what we hold dear. A deeply lovely thought. With its simple style, making it a nicely rhymed one, it makes a perfect mark. Best
Regards.

Review of I Was A Tiger
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
|i|Nice tribute to the big cat species of tigers which have "a zoo life". I liked your storyline type lines and the detail of the event in San Francisco which you spoke of. So often, wildlife are not allowed to roam free, and the eventuality of their confined life is inevitable. I really liked the book "Born Free" when I was a teenager. It was so moving. Tigers have always fascinated me. Your feature in this week's Poetry Newsletter was excellent.

Review of Frozen Desires
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
A good winter poem. A good cemetary poem. The metamorphosis of the poem goes through interesting lines by the last stanza. To end with "envy's lust" is interesting although I wasn't totally sure I
knew what it referred to. Perhaps, something personal? This is a well-done poem, original, and
solid.

A poem which I found a little hard to understand, however, I believe I followed it. The great winter scape of its knowledge is apparent here, and the brutal effects of winter. I liked your free verse style and your imagery in it. It is appropriate for this time and very nice to read.

Review of Hide

This poem really shouts out at you. It has wise words, and I believe its speaking about an alcholic father. That is what I got out of it. For that, it is sad, and the warning to "children" was appropriate. Could there be underlying meaning here? Just as it is, it is very effective. Found it in a past Newsletter.

Well-done immulsion of questions with the thought of a newer day to be for you in the writing field. I ask myself all the time how effective can I be and whether or not I have even fought half the battle to become a good writer. I like the momentary "dangerous" you alluded to at the end of the poem, for what might be. Your words were above simple, and gathered speed well. Best Regards for one I found in a Poetry Newsletter.

Review of Snow
Rated: E | (4.5)
Excellent poem for the illusion of snow in a form that you are speaking to. It has lovely lines that are candid and romantic and then climactically a reality to the romantic settles into the poem by the end. A great little dreamy poem. Found it in this week's Poetry Newsletter. Best Regards.

Review of In Sepia

Such a good "woman's" poem, Joy. Your words are somehow ethereal and above me at times. Yet I find you are a natural at giving us more than a common simple poem. Once read twice or three times, this poem finds its way to the human heart and explodes there, gathering a finalty with its last line. You are
such a wonderful poet for great words! Originality and the basic instinct of a woman make you a must to read when you are in the Newsletters.

Very viable and well-formed piece. It has all the explanation of an ironic piece that is slightly perturbing and evokes the sinister in places. I liked it. It also had a good pathos, and well-done description throughout. It was featured in this week's Romance/Love Newsletter. Best Regards. Happy New Year!

I really liked your seasonal poem here. It holds a wealth of images that dance about like autumn leaves. Then, there is the mirrored thought behind the poem: the journey and what it is like. That, too, is conceived well in the poem. I really liked the lines, their fragility in autumn season. Job well done! Saw this in this week's Poetry Newsletter.

Review of I Walk Alone
Rated: E | (5.0)
Excellent chilly winter poem. The poem has substance, and I lingered with "brutal wind whips" and "frigidly cold". I liked the essence, yet the "plane" and the "letter" were really good as thematic undertones. The poem speaks well for a seasonal poem. No unnecessary repetition. Good lineage. It was done well. Saw it in this week's Poetry Newsletter.
