I guess this is a poem. It's something I wrote when the feeling got too strong...
I feel like someone's holding a pillow over my heart.
Suffocating it.
Killing me.
It's almost funny.
She said,
"Don't make fun of him when he comes over here."
Just because you're different.
But I would never make fun of you.
NEVER.
I wish I could just talk to you
but I can't.
You came over.
Stood right in front of me,
and I couldn't speak.
My heart was beating so fast...
I thought you could hear it.
But you can't,
because I can never seem to open my mouth when you come around.
I've seen you.
A few times before, and I've watched you.
Watched you disappear again.
I wish I could talk to you.
I wish you would talk to me.
But why would you...?
I'm probably not your type, huh?
You probably haven't even noticed I exist.
I care that you do.
I just wish that you at least...
knew I did.
We're from totally different worlds.
It's bad enough that seeing you makes me mute.
I just wish things were different.
I wish you knew.
