This was written in a couple of frustrated minutes.
Why do Diamonds cease to shine,
When they realise they are mine?
Why does land stop being solid,
When it feels me stepping on it?

Why do clouds always appear,
When they feel me coming near?
Why does rain stop being wet,
When it knows how thirsty I get?

Why do roads all grow dead ends,
When I'm speeding round the bends?
Why does the tree grow no more fruit,
When I need to feed my youth?

Why does colour disappear,
When it knows it's loss I fear?
Why are answers always lies,
When responding to my Whys?
