Originally written on 6th June; the day before my birthday.
I was born fourteen years as of tomorrow.
As a small toddler, I drowned in my sorrow.

Then began primary school, which I started so young.
I discover a talent, but for now is unsprung.

Two sisters of ten years, of honour and brilliance;
Aimed for the highest regardless of hinderance

Six years have then passed, and big school ascends.
I got in the best one, but lost all my friends.

It's three years til now, and dark days are brewing;
Homework, exams, my schoolmates keep spewing.

I miss my young days, so pure and outgoing.
Now I mingle with adults, whose freedom is stowing.

I will be turning fourteen as of tomorrow.
Yet school still approaches, my head's in the pillow.
