Angels listened and shed their tears,
Angels Listened

Angels listened sadly
Crying
Witness to destruction's wrath
Sorrow
Their tears flowed bright red
Holding each other in comfort, seeking a holy answer
Angels listened
They heard the sounds of suffering
They smelled the fresh death
Watching hearts stop
Angels shuddered in the aftermath
Listening to silent crimes committed this bloody day
The Angels screamed a song of judgment and loss
God looked and heard his angels sing
God saw their tears flow crimson with the dead
Together and forever.
