inside someone's head is never a logical intelligible message. this poem reflects that.
As I sit
Alone here in the dark
I stand out from the rest
I wear my own mark

My life is not mine
But I no longer care
How could I stand it?
I no longer live here

I’m stuck in twilight
A cage of sorts
Separation prevails
I am but a sport

I don’t understand
I never really do
I tried to escape
But I can’t run from you

I know to concede
Will bring nothing but pain
But to fight is a struggle
I can’t take the strain

Where does that leave me?
A jumbled mess of thought
Confused while unstable
It is me you have caught

My life is a game
You tear me apart
Take what you want
But leave me my heart
