YOU are the best gift this Christmas

I have been so very blessed
but especially this year
The good Lord granted me my wish
He gave me you, my dear!

In years past I was alone
so tired and depressed
this year something for me changed
with you I'm truly blessed!!

I couldn't even put in words
what I was hoping for
But God knows all our inner dreams
He gave me you, but more...

He gave me someone special who
would give me hope again
In you I've found an inner peace-
Happier than I've ever been.

You've shown me what love is
in just the littlest things
By what you do and show and say
Great hope in me that brings!!

That there is hope for one so used
who felt so all alone
You turned my heart into something more
Than just a heart of stone.

So, to you, I must confess
you've given me back feeling
and every day, in every way
more of my heart your stealing.

I can't complain, cuz I want more
My feelings just won't end
You are my friend, but so much more
this tattered heart you did mend.

So at this time of year, my love
I feel I need to tell you
That in you I've found my soulmate
Forever I'll be true!
