The smallest of things can speak so many words.
Crimson and green
Wild, yet serene

Rare beauty beyond compare
Send with a message if you dare

A rose. A rose. Simple yet complex
To give or receive leaves many so vexed

The story behind, within and without
Is a story of love, pain and doubt

The crimson of the petals may stand for love
A deep burning passion pure as a white dove

The stem and leaves of natural green
To symbolize love to grow and be seen

As wonderful as these all may sound
Different meanings can also be found

The crimson of the petals may stand for blood
The pain and strife of a relationship dragged through the mud

The stem and leaves of natural green
Are hiding the thorns that are sometimes unseen

A rose is beauty, but beauty is vain
Dwell to often and it shall all be in pain

To love so deeply is a wonderful thing
And to be loved back can make your heart sing

Yet, admist emotions of all mixed kinds
Don't lose yourself for another's mind

To love so true brings strength of a certain type
Yet to be loved in return may live up to all the hype

A rose. A rose. Just a flower of color
Yet it speaks a message quite unlike any other

A rose can speak of love or trials
A reminder of joy or the taking of smiles

When you see that deep crimson flower
Will you be lifted with joy? Or will hurt just shower?

A rose. A rose. A flower under a spell
What type of story will your rose tell?
