A questioning of man and his brutality
I wonder how they will speak of us after man has gone
When the mountains and trees are left all alone
When our history’s twilight has faded into dust
As our ancient ancestors show that we must

Will history paint a pretty picture of the creatures known as man?
Or will it say we were rapists and thieves upon the motherland?
Will we only be remembered for the destruction that we caused?
Or will it be said, that in a shining moment, we paused

That in one instant the earth stood quiet, man looked and saw the wrong
That he took a shaky breath and looked hard and long
In his mind he saw the fate of this destructive race
He fell on his knees, with his hands he did cover his face

And he wept, and screamed to heaven, GOD FORGIVE US WRETCHED BEASTS!
For we are fools and devils our teeth sunk deep in fleshy feasts
Blood lust fills our minds blinding us to the truth
That we are destroying the future promised to our youth

Or will they say that man saw nothing and continued on his path?
And that in the end man suffered God’s holy wrath
That God saw man as evil and hopeless and cast him in the pits of Hell
And that in his anger wiped all traces of mans existence off the earth as well

I ask you brother, are we too late to change our future, to make up for all the wrong?
Or were we set on our present course all the long?
Was our history preordained from the beginning of time?
Were we predesigned to be perpetrators of these heinous crimes?

Are we so smug in our lives that we feel we’re above the law of God?
That we walk on the backs of our less fortunate brothers as we would the sod
I see our history being bleak with no mention of us at all
I see God shedding not a tear as he watches his worst creation fall

Wake up my brothers!!!
