To stand by you till the end of time would be heaven to me.

I wish you were
A tall, beautiful tree
In the middle
Of a secret clearing
Filled with rainbow flowers
That perfume the air.
There you would stand
Strong and alone
So I could sit
In your branches
And you could hold me
All day long.
I would
Tell you everything.
Every day I would
Water you with my love.
And at the end
Of each day
We could watch
The sun set together
In an explosion of color.

Together we would
Grow old
And someday
My body would die
And they would bury me
At your feet.
Then my soul could be
A small red flower
To stand proudly
In your shade
And continue loving you
Till I might wilt.
Then my soul would
Fall to the wind
And I would
Tickle your branches
And whisper
Wonderful stories
To you all day.
Until my breeze died.
Then I would become
A ray of sunlight
So I could
Keep you warm
All day long.
Until night fell
And then I would be
A star
So I could gaze
At your beauty
Till morning.
Then I would fall
To the earth
And become a seed
To grow up
And be a strong tree
By your side
So you wouldn’t be lonely.
And there we would stand
Together.
Till the end of time.
Watching the sun rise
And set each day
That would be heaven.
