Feeling the connection forgotten in day to day routine.
Waiting at a counter
While he poured over wine
She thought to herself
I haven’t felt this way for a long time

They knew they’d be together
Even through the monotony
But monotony seemed to be all
There was lately

In this uninterrupted space
Unhurried
Undisturbed
She saw the life she’d envisioned

Here was the joy
conversation
laughter
connection

In a moment
It would be gone
But she swore
not for long

She would find a way
To return to this place
They would find a way
To connect through the growing space
Into their happily ever after
