A poem of self regret and desire for self-improvement and new self-perspective.
I see my pale and cold reflection
Withering and wasting in the mirror,
Painfully marked by keen imperfection,
  Feeling absolutely inferior -

I see the ghost of a man possessed,
Haunted by the demons of past and future -
He's fading fast, so alone and depressed,
Listening as Time bleeds through its suture -

Overcome with regret and cowardice,
He flees from it all without direction,
Feeling the lead weight of Life's cold malice,
  And heartfelt pain's perpetual accession.

I grab and shatter this silver glass,
Breaking it into a thousand pieces,
So I'll see the world through mine eyes at last -
See how dark reality really is.
