Man's love in his waning hours
Eyes dilated with a crude pain,
Slowly they turn ignoring my plea
My glance to the perfection down the darkened hall,
White gown wrinkled from her long night tending us all.

She cantered in, perfume conforming to my farce,
Blocking me from my deepest fright.
Sitting here, dreaming of the blight,
Dying alone, without any feeling remorse.

Plunged out of bed, my only comfort,
She leads me upon my difficult course.
All eyes drawn upon me and my escort,
Staring at the ceiling, I sit antrorse.

Sweetly she guides me through the turmoil,
My thoughts relay only to her in droil.
Could I hold a truth this size,
Will it quicken my demise?

Sparkling eyes look down upon me,
While my heart beats to it’s limit.
Could I tell my true sentiment?
While we sit beneath the cheery tree.

Love flowing, exploding through my core,
Something I can’t attempt to ignore.
What seems like a calling from those sacred,
If only they could hold my heart while it shred.

I look out to the stars attractive shine,
While inside I attempt to contain my dream
Could you help me lessen this wrong of mine?
Together we will resist his supreme hand.

Silently the doors open, a grim design
Granting me entrance to my most beloved; Death
Sadistic his will, granted by those Devine
Terror will not force me to become Macbeth,

Room blurs, I sense I’m but a slave,
Only a moment before the end.
Bring me love at a time so grave.
Touch my soul and help expose my strength,

Hold me still, as I attempt to clutch my chest,
Fires spreading, enter cardiac arrest.
My last moment cold, while your lips touch mine,
I close my eyes and listen to the rain.
