my sad sad attempt to write down my thoughts at 2 a.m.
As I stood in the victim’s home there was a sudden roll of thunder followed by steady rain so heavy I thought I must be living in god’s drainage ditch. I walked to the window and stared up at the blue sky suddenly confused (it wasn’t until two days later that the sounds were just my misinterpretation of the a.c. coming on and my partner flushing)
