Written for my grandparents on their 50th Wedding Anniversary, when they were remarried.
Of every couple,
that both said “I do.”
None could be happier ,
than the two of you.

Fifty long years,
of souls intertwined.
A more joyous marriage,
no one could find.

Your love is combined,
and in heart it will blossom.
And what the two of you share,
not one can fathom.

With your new vows,
you promise each other,
to care and to love them,
to cherish  forever.

Live a long life,
and spend it together.
Because when it is shared,
the hearts are a feather.

Light as the wind,
it never will fail
and faithful you’ll be,
never thoughts of betrayal.

Even now as you read
the soft kindled flame
burns with new love
that puts all else to shame.

My wishes to you,
as devotion to the other
continues for now,
and from now, to forever.
