A lighthearted poem about my 1st experience with chatrooms.
I entered a chatroom the other day,
But I felt so awkward, I couldn't stay.
What do I say?  What will they think?
Gradually, I felt my confidence shrink.

Abbreviations, avatars, all chatroom speak
Is there a book that I should seek,
To learn what words to use in this place?
So I don't fall flat on my face.

I know!  I'll talk to my teen at home,
Who's versed in the use of chatroom tome.
Then maybe I will brave it again,
To get to know others, and make friends.
