True love came calling
later in years,
and we found
ourselves swept off our feet!
Blinded by passion
fueling embers;
that smoldered forever it seems.

Tasting our sweetness.
Catching our breath.
Chasing our wildest dream.

Letting it carry us
far over the rainbow;
never bringing us back again.
Miles from where
we started out;
found us
set in our
old ways,
and knowing now...

there's no turning back.

We were so blind!
How could we know?
Love changes everything!
