It's about being lost in your own depression and trying to find a way out
You know you're lost when the light of the moon no longer is aligned with your eyes,
Following you like your tag-along little sibling
Just looking for a shred of acceptance and belonging
A drop of light in the overwhelming cup of darkness
You know you can't find your way home when the stars no longer enrapture your curiosity
And you find your eyes averted from the scintillating beauty of life and death,
Wrapped in torn pieces of decimation
Why do we feel like letting go at the times it is so crucial for us to hold on?
Why am I always longing for that palpable beauty in every breakdown?
When you know you'd rather wallow in your own self-pity than go out and greet the sun,
You have to find a way out of your cage of depression
Break through from its tightening quicksand-like grasp
No matter how adamant it may be,
Seize the day, don't let it drown
