The poet, the eternal dreamer dreams, though bleak the future seems.
DREAMER’S WEB: a sonnet

It’s true the world has seen two ghastly wars.
The third is probably biding its time.
While man has plans to go to moon and stars,
The danger bells on earth do truly chime.

The threat of pollution is alarming.
The fossil fuels are depleting fast.
The greenhouse gases are causing warming.
For too long man may not on this earth last.

Future may yet see a nuclear war.
But, should my dreamer’s web I simply kill?
I hope some sane Presidents still there are.
Why should we not with hope the future fill?

The prophets of doom, why don’t you retire?
In humanity’s embers still there’s fire.
