the sadness that envelopes after the loss of a loved one
voices
breaking
not sure how to tell you this
but you already know

we've been waiting to see that look in the doctor's eye
the waiting is painful
but not as painful as when it happens

voices
breaking
not sure if this is real
but it is

we've been anticipating this very moment
this moment hurts
and it will keep hurting

voices
breaking
now the tears are flowing

no more waiting
nothing to be anticipating
the moment has passed
a life is over
