Misplaced anger.
The Destroyer

Do you hate me?
You should, you know.
For it was I who tried to cause you pain.
The anger rose within me,
and it was always you I could not stand.

Oh envy, what a sorrowful thing.
To be jealous of someone so sweet
Just let me know that blackness has been buried deep.
Bit by bit I'll strip away that perfection you do possess.

You stare at me.
Wondering was it really I,
Who was out to ruin your day.
You are right it is, and I will always be there
To introduce you to misery.

For why should you get to thrive
When i cannot even rise?
Surely such perfection like you
Needs only to be destroyed
