Very depressing poem written about a friend.
Bleeding Heart

My head out the window- cool wind on my face
The raindrops take my tears place
There are 5 notes in my hand
I am shaking so bad I can hardly stand
I take as many pills as I can with one drink
As I pick up the knife I start to think
I try to hold the knife steady
Okay I decide- I’m ready
I sign my last note goodbye
As I finish I start to cry
the kiss of metal against my skin
its not so bad once I begin
I can feel the blood leaving my vein
all I can hope is that it takes my pain
a single tear falls in the blood I’ve bled
joining the tears I’ve already shed
My knife slips and falls to the ground
I follow it without a sound
I climb to my bed soaking the sheet
My heart starts to slow- I cant feel it beat .
I’m getting tired ready to give up the fight
a darkness begins to envelop me darker than night
I close my eyes and fall back into the dark
Soon the pain will stop...just like my heart
