great short story
Captured
I tried to open my eyes but couldn’t because it was so bright, everything was blurry as well and I felt a disgusting metal, rusty taste of blood in my mouth. I looked around me once my eyes had accustomed to the intense conditions, I saw nothing but concrete walls surrounding me, but in front of me was a bare door. I didn’t know how long it had been, what day it was today or whether it was day or night. My mind was blank, bare and like a barren wasteland. The door swung open and standing there were five men, faces covered with cloth and holding AK-47 automatic rifles in their hands, I started to tremble and shake, I prayed that I would not be joining my father in the heavens. They surrounded me like I was the prey and one of them aimed their rifle right at my head and there and then I knew it was all over.
