When I am gone, these are the things I want you to remember.
When I am gone, remember me.
Remember that I love you
And everything I do has all of you in mind.
Remember that I found solace in music
Each genre, each melody, finding a way to soothe
My open heart and busy mind.
Remember that I believed in angels and power and magic.
There is always someone watching over you,
And you are stronger and more powerful than you let yourself believe.
Remember that I liked to escape into the world of fantasy
Sorcerers and slayers, the fight against evil,
The strong force of hope and love that inspires thousands,
But remember that I also saw true magic in the world around me;
The spirit of laughter invoked by friends or the unachievable made possible.
Remember that I loved to watch the magnificent landscapes;
The rushing tide, the towering mountains, and the endless sun;
Where one sun sets, another one rises in its place.
Remember that everything happens for a reason
There are lessons to be learned through the mistakes you make,
The people you touch and the opportunities you take.
Remember that I tried to see the good in everyone,
People can surprise and amaze you
Be open to the experiences that new people can show you
And know that if you are loved, there is nothing you cannot reach.
Remember that you are certainly loved by those around you, and by me.
When I am gone, remember the times we spent together and take them with you.
When I am gone, remember me.
