The speaker is surrounded by darkness but mind dwells to better times.
Dark clouds roll in blocking the sky
All light ignores me as I slowly die
Lonely and cold, even so scared
Fearful of future, past no one’s cared
Alone I sit as I stare at the cloud
Wondering if light will ever reach this mound
In every direction these clouds exist
My heart so empty like an empty abyss
To keep my sanity my mind thinks fast
Times of light, back in the past
A period without clouds, clear heavens above
Skies of beauty, nymphs, angels, love
When light was bright with happiness found
Instead of Darkness strapped land lock bound
With reality back the light is gone
Once again I am fate’s poor pawn
Rooks around me, I fell for the bait
Trapped in a corner, black succeeds in checkmate
Darkness victorious and white has lost
The trophy is a heart my sacrificial cost
Almost a year now since my hearts fallen dark
Pain so great and reminding, always on mark
Absolutely terrified of that anniversary date
That day karma crashed cursed by fate
No silver lining on these clouds, no ray of hope
Yet this is how it is, therefore I cope
