poetry that expresses the vulnerability of being a woman
You must remember-
I'm of the delicate gender.
You must excuse me-
It's so easy to bruise me.

And when I've lost the voice to sing,
Treat me like a tender thing...

Tell me what you see-
When I am weak?
Why treat me so-
When I am low?

And when I've lost the voice to sing,
Treat me like a tender thing...

You can't recall-
Was it in the Fall?
When I took ill-
and lost my will?

And when I've lost the voice to sing,
Treat me like a tender thing...
