It is open to us to be serious or flippant.
WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE WALL


What is written on the wall
Is there for all to see.
Some heed it and some do not
In a light hearted spree.

Some laugh it off with comments
Abusive and furtive.
They choose to ignore what is
Correct and assertive.

Truth cannot be subverted
By making fun of it.
No use burying the head
In sand like an ostrich.

In the end only the call
Of wisdom does prevail.
The ignorant vainly choose
To simply cry and wail.
