When we feel the weight of the world above us, we can only dream.
I want to fly teach me to fly
Let me know, show me the secret
Standing before the edge of the cliff
Fluttering off without a care in the world
Soaring with the birds
A farmer catches the glint of your wing in the sun
You and only you above all else
Let’s both of us climb to the heavens
So we and only we can see the gentle curvature of the earth
Bright clouds dark clouds-- we could name them all
Dream above the stars, only imagination is our limit

The ground is my only prison
Glued to the world
My only companion is the shadow of a dream
Sewn to what I know
Stapled to false existence
My only freedom is away
Away with you
For only you can comfort
Comforting pain in what I live
Free me
Unchain my arms
Cut the rope binding my legs
I need to move, to see what else is out there
Like only you know how to show
Teach me to fly
