When love is so strong, what happens when you have amnesia? Do you remember your love?
Amnesia?

I lost my mind the other day, and didn’t know why or how
One minute I knew myself, then wondered where was I now
When I sat and thought about things, I wondered who I was
I realized I’d forgotten your name, then remembered it just because

As the day progressed, my memory came back but once again disappeared,
The more I tried to remember, the more I forgot and cried such tears
But one thing stayed with me throughout that forgetful day
Though I’d forget your name many times, it came back to me always

One thousand times I’d forget your name, but remembered it one thousand and one
And when the day was over, I knew I wasn’t done
My mind couldn’t stay focused on anything from my past,
But your name was the one thing I knew, and in my memory it would last

For though I couldn’t remember much, nor did I know my place,
You were always in my mind, and suddenly I knew your face
My heart hurt so bad for I didn’t know where you were,
Nor did I know just what I’d done, to deserve the awful curse

I went to sleep that night with my mind still lost in space
I tried so hard to remember, but always lost that race
I finally slept a little, but never seemed to rest
For when I managed to think of you, it was something I did best

I awoke in the morning, my mind completely at ease
And knew just who I was, and found my mind at peace
You were the one who rescued me, when I was lost,
I knew I had to have you, no matter what the cost

Don’t you find it amazing, how amnesia brought us here,
How my little forgetfulness allowed us to get near
Now we lie here side by side, contented and satisfied,
I wonder how I’ll tell you, that this was all a lie

I could never forget you, not once in a million days,
But I had to find a way to meet you, and tell you all the ways
That my heart has developed this love, how I want you by my side
One day in the quite near future, I’ll take you as my bride

We’ll live together in happiness and never rue the day
That we met and learned to love, in this somewhat unique way
And when our time on Earth is done, we will finally part,
But not for very long my love, for you really have my heart
