A poem that came to me all at once- unfinished, but please read anyway!

All of my heroes have long since died
Magnificent pillars crumbling
I took comfort 'neath the umbrella of strangers
Nescience was safety for a time
But all a stranger wants from you
Is your undying longitude
Smiling and detached gratitude

My soul is not one for standing idly by
Attentive and alert is how my self is described
I become attached to the chivalry
Disillusioned by fantasy
Shadows of jealousy invade my aura, my pride
