A spur of the moment poem inspired by too short a conversation with a woman I admire.
The wind dances patterns across the still waters,

The spark of this moment now traced in my mind.

We're passing these chances and skirting disaster,

but later such passions seem harder to find.

Scattered and distant and far from our kind.

Selfishly seeking solutions to feeling,

Our stances suggesting that far too much time...

Now passes- I'm moonstruck, you're spellbound, admit it.

Falling and reeling I'm lost in your eyes.

We're seizing this instant, her breath on my neck,

Searching for meaning that logic denies.
