My Super Hero

When I say that I love to be alone, I should have made one thing clear,

Alone for me is so wonderful, because my savior is here.

Oh sure I can share in praise, and listen to the sermon with the rest,

But the most powerful time, is when I’m alone , it’s when I hear him best.

The hustle and bustle of life, will not allow us to hear him as we should

So take time to spend time with him, he has things to say to you for your good

I love my lord and savior, in school I was not popular at all,

Never had a good relationship with father, and mother worked a long haul

When I grew up, it was just the same, didn’t fit in with friends and neighbors,

At work, it was also my lot, that I was not one that anyone favored.

I could not find a man, who wasn’t interested in beating me

Couldn’t find one faithful friend at all,

At this point I felt like dying,

That is when I heard his call,

So if some don’t understand why I’m so in love with you,

It’s alright with me because, it was God who came through,

When I was alone and scared, thinking there wasn’t a hope in the world,

He came and rescued this plain old ghetto girl,

God you are my night in shining amour,

This  Prince I’ve waited for all these years,

The reason why I love you so much,

Is cuz you washed away all my tears,

You told me I was beautiful, showed me just who you made me to be,

I’m the largest that I’ve ever been in my life,

Yet more confident I could never be,

Because I know that my father loves me,

And he tells me what’s best for me,

Never let a man take advantage of you,

And you should always eat free,

A real man will want to take care of the bills,

Won’t allow you to pay your own way,

I know some of you may be offended,

But I’m doing what my father say,

See he loves me and cares for me, better than I do for myself,

There were times when I thought I couldn’t go on and the lord

He was my help.

So excuse me if I love him too much

It’s something I can’t help,
