A poem about someone who has just unintentionally hurt someone.
Like a porcelain doll she shattered in front of me,
Her big, glassy, blue eyes rolling across the floor,
Clumps of silk blonde hair matted and frayed,
Her petticoats were torn and filthy,
A solitary shoe laying past her body:
a child-like blue with a trim of white.

I'd torn down her foundations,
She'd never be rebuilt,
I'd ripped the china apart,
I held her limp in my arms
She laid there empty.
No pulse, no breath,
No longer soft and warm,
All I saw were her stationary eyes,
All I saw were those blue, glassy eyes.
