A poem about a girl and her promise.
A few years ago I lost you.

After you were gone I felt like my life didn’t really matter anymore,

I mean what was I suppose to do when you were the only one I truly every had?

I remembered going to park and the movies and us eating dinner together.

Then as I remembered these things I thought of what you always said

You’d always say “baby girl if you ever loose me promise you’ll stay strong and won’t dwell on it.”

And every time you said it I promised I would.

So I’m running away from this dark cloud I’m not letting you down any longer

I’ll be happy to see you again but I’m not gonna rush my time

I hope everything’s good in heaven

I love you daddy, goodnight.
