A poem of the natural wonders.
From space, Earth isn’t as endless as we once thought.
It doesn’t perpetuate its horizon beyond our imagination
or generate anymore mystery than our nearest neighbors.

In space, light isn’t a byproduct of wires and switches.
It is a precious resource bringing forth the spark of possibility
where there had been only the emptiness of uncertainty before.

The space beyond our reach is a maddening thing
that taunts us with what we are not allowed partake
and comforts us like a blanket of direction and potential.

Space is the starting point of the circle of life.
It is our ancestry as much as our stage,
no less than the heritage of our surnames.

Of all the sights that I have ever seen
there has been no greater wonder
than the points within the night sky
that represent the little that we know
and the greater part of what we don’t,
all within a single morsel of space.
