Daily Flash Fiction
I’ve been in here long enough. Sitting here surrounded by these white walls make me feel even more insane then I’m already am. Why did I do this to myself? Why did I do this to my family? God told me this was how it was supposed to be. But now I’m more miserable than I was before I killed my parents. What more does He want from me? They always tell me that life is too short. Well maybe their right. It’s my time now. I’m going to break free from here. The little voice in my head says I will make it. I can have a life. I can make up for my sins. I’ve been hiding my medicine in my mattress so I’m much more strong-minded now. I have figured out a plan that I can escape. When they come to bring me my medicine tonight. I will kill my nurse with my toothbrush that I made into a shank and stab her repetitively. I will steal her keys and run into the guy’s locker room where I can change into normal looking close. Then I can just walk out. It’s a perfect plan. Twenty-two long years I have been waiting for this goal to get out of this hellhole. And finally here the moment has come. Suddenly I noticed a thumb tack on the floor near my door. I knew that, that had to be a sign from God that I must follow through with my plan. I picked up the thumb tack from off the floor and kissed it and put it in my pocket. I heard the nurse high heel shoes down the hall. Soon I will finally be a free man.
