Remember when you were young and learning social skills at the table?
Table Manners

Go wash your hands.
Please sit up straight.
My mother complains
if I come to dinner late.
She glares at me each time
my mouth opens when I chew.
She says it’s not polite
to play with my good food.
She makes me eat some junk
like spinach or Brussels sprouts
And she shakes her head ‘NO!’
if I try to spit it out.
Why can’t our simple dinner
be jelly beans or pie?
You don’t have to cook them much
and they are all so easy to buy!
